Mesh Tool for Creative Design

Using Mesh Tool for Rich Background Colors

Background Color of any design is the most important part. When we choose any color we need to research more and more. Here I am telling you about the interesting thing that HOW TO CREATE CREATIVE BACKGROUNDS IN CorelDraw.

Step01:
First of all you need to do Page Setup, including; page size, margin, bleed, etc..

Step02:
Now double click on the Rectangle Tool to create a box on your page.

Step03:
Fill any solid color which you want to fill in your background.

Step04:
Now click on the Interactive Mesh Fill Tool (M). It will convert the box in a grid-view.

Step05:
Using Mesh Tool drag your mouse to select the part which you want to color.


Step06:
Now change the color of selected part of your background. You can use Ctrl + Swatch Dark and Bright to working on same color family.

In this image there are two different boxes, One is solid and other is created with the help of mesh tool. Please see the difference.


Free Advise:

  • Do not mix too many colors in backgound just give a rich color and mix light and dark with Mesh Tool.
  • Always work in same color family if you are working for any professional design.
  • You can use pen tool to edit the Mesh Area.
  • You can not powerclip in the Mesh Background for that you need to create another box and powerclip Mesh Background in it.

Powerclip for Creative Design

Using Pen Tool with Powerclip:

In this tutorials you will know to create interesting and creative designs in CorelDraw. Here we will know about the Two more important Tools of Design; Pen Tool and Power-Clip. First we will describe about these tools.

Pen Tool:
This tool is very important tool of design. This tools is available in every software related to design. With the help of this tools you can create anything what you want. You can trace the images, you can create vector design and more.
In CorelDraw you can find this tool here, please check in the image below.


Power Clip:
Power Clip is very creative tool in CorelDraw. With the help of PowerClip you can create very creative vectors and shapes.
The use of this tool is more like masking on Photoshop and clipping path in illustrator. With this we can put a design in another design. There is lot of use of PowerClip I will explain later.
In CorelDraw you will find this in Effects > Power Clip.

To design a cover background with the help of these tools first we create a box. Then create another shape and powerclip that in the first box. Then go inside and design it. We can use too many object in powerclipped box and create other powerclip inside of it. Here I have created a very interesting effect with PowerClip click here to have a look.

Pick tool for Color Recognition

Color Recognition

In this tutorials you will know that how to recognize the colors. There is big problem for DTP operators to recognize the colors. If someone ask them to design a cover in Dark Purple color. If you do not know what is purple color then do not waste your time. Just read this article and you will never have this problem ever.

Just go search engine and type DARK PURPLE COLOR, now click on images. You will get the lot of purple colors. Select one image which seems exact. Copy that and paste in CorelDraw. Now, select the Color Pick tool and click on it and Drop the color where you want to fill it.

Now your color is ready. But there is one problem, when you do this your color property changes to RGB. To resolve this click on the object and go to color edit palate. Change it’s palate to CMYK. It is done now. You have created a object/cover with DARK PURPLE COLOR with the help of internet.

For next time, you do not need to go Explorer because now you know the property of color. Now you can create this color with the help of Corel Color Swatches. You can do this same in In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator or any software related to design. I hope now you are ready to design your job in any color what you client want.

Quick Tips: Go to Explorer > Type the name of Color > Click on Images > Copy and Paste Image in CorelDraw > Select Color Pick tool > Pick the Color and Drop it on the Object > You’re Done…
